Insurance Fraud Raises Auto Insurance Rates

Insurance fraud costs insurance companies billions of dollars each year. Insurance fraud is not a victimless crime and it comes in many different forms:

  • Claiming more damage to a vehicle than actually occurred
  • False reports of stolen property or vehicles
  • Falsified or inflated medical bills or documentation
  • Intentionally damaging your own property or vehicle
  • Misrepresentation of information on an application

You can report suspected cases of insurance fraud to GMAC Insurance by email (SIUDEPT@GMACInsurance.com) or to the National Insurance Crime Bureau by phone at 1-800-TEL-NICB (1-800-835-6422).

All of your information will remain confidential and, together, we can limit the impact of insurance fraud.
