You can cut your premium in half when you’re not using your motorhome. With the FMCA Motorhome & Auto Storage Option, you can suspend the coverages you don’t need during the months you’re not using your motorhome. You will still be fully protected against fire, storm, wind and theft. Just six months of the exclusive Storage Option could save you up to $400!
  3. Does FMCA Motorhome & Auto provide coverage for my motorhome’s permanent attachments and accessories?

Attachments and accessories such as antennas, awnings, levelers, and tow kits are covered for the full amount it would cost to replace them – at no extra charge.
  4. What amount of motorhome coverage do I need?

Choosing the coverages that are best for you and your motorhome may seem challenging, but the motorhome experts at FMCA Motorhome & Auto will make it easy for you. Just try the free online quote form, or call 1-888-576-4269 and mention Savings Code YS-BA and a friendly representative will quickly help you decide on the motorhome coverages that are right for you. Here are some factors that you need to consider when you are looking for the right motorhome insurance at the right price:

    Motorhome Type
Large custom motorhomes may cause more damage to other vehicles and incur higher repair bills. Make sure you get coverage that is sufficient for your type of motorhome.

    Storage Option
The FMCA Motorhome & Auto Storage Option allows you to suspend the collision and liability coverages you don’t need during the months your motorhome is not on the road. This can reduce your premium by an average of 53% when you’re not using your motorhome. Comprehensive coverage remains in effect to protect you from hazards like theft, fires, and storms.

    Deductibles and Coverage Limits
Be sure to choose a deductible and coverage limits based on how much you can realistically pay out of your own savings in the event of a claim. While a higher deductible and lower coverage limits can result in a lower premium, paying a bit more for your motorhome insurance with a lower deductible and higher liability limits could save you much more money in the long run.

    Leased or Financed Vehicles
Insurance requirements for motorhomes that are financed or leased can be different from the insurance required for a motorhome that you own outright. You may be required carry a certain level of coverage so that you don’t have to pay the full cost of a motorhome that is involved in an accident or other claim. Once you’ve paid for the motorhome in full, you may be able to change your coverage options to suit your preferences.

    State Requirements
Your home state will have its own minimum motorhome insurance requirements. Get details from your state’s Department of Motor Vehicles.
  5. What makes FMCA Motorhome & Auto my best choice for motorhome coverage?
The FMCA Motorhome & Auto Insurance Plan was designed by the motorhome experts at FMCA and GMAC Insurance – America’s RV Insurance Specialist. It provides the specialized coverages that meet the specific needs of your lifestyle as a motorhome owner.

While most “ordinary” auto insurers treat your motorhome like it’s just a big car, FMCA Motorhome & Auto provides the coverages that no motorhome owner should be without, like Permanent Attachments Coverage, Personal Effects Coverage, Hitch Coverage and Optional Full Replacement Cost Coverage.
  6. How do I reduce my motorhome insurance premium?

FMCA Motorhome & Auto has many ways to help you save, including discounts for:
    • Being an FMCA Member,
    • Being a safe driver,
    • Having safety and anti-theft devices
    • Putting your motorhome and autos on one policy,
    • Using the Storage Option when your motorhome is not in use,
    • Insuring your house, apartment or condo through the GMAC Insurance Homeowners Program,
    • Paying your premium in full,
    • And much more...
Motorhome customers who switch save an average of $349 per year. Get a free quote online, or call 1-888-576-4269 and mention Savings Code YS-BA to see how much you can save.
  7. Does my motorhome insurance policy cover all of the drivers in my household?

Yes. All of the drivers that you listed when you bought your motorhome insurance policy will be covered. If you have any questions about listing drivers on your policy, please call 1-888-576-4269.
  8. Will FMCA Motorhome & Auto provide the protection I need if I live in my motorhome full-time?

Yes. The FMCA Motorhome & Auto Insurance Plan features Full-Timer Coverage designed to provide protection similar to a homeowners policy for motorhome owners who live in their motorhomes.
  9. Will I be covered if I travel to Mexico in my motorhome?

U.S. motorhome insurance policies are not usually adequate to protect you under Mexican law. That’s why the experts at FMCA Motorhome & Auto will help you get Mexico insurance through approved Mexico insurance professionals.

Please do not go to Mexico in your motorhome without the proper coverage! Call 1-888-576-4269 for more information.
  10. A fellow motorhome owner is still making payments on a motorhome that was totaled. Can FMCA Motorhome & Auto help keep this from happening to me?

Yes. With FMCA Motorhome & Auto’s Optional Full Replacement Cost Coverage, if your motorhome is totaled or stolen (and not recovered) in its first five model years it will be replaced with a comparable new motorhome, even if you're not the original owner. After the first five model years, you will receive your full original purchase price – not a depreciated amount – toward the purchase of the replacement motorhome. Replacement Cost Coverage must be purchased during the motorhome's model year or within the following four years. “Ordinary” auto insurance just can’t give you that kind of peace of mind.
